VIT runs on a straightforward 10-point grading system under its FFCS regulations. To convert CGPA to percentage, multiply your CGPA by 10 — no correction factor, no offset. A CGPA of 8.5 becomes 85.00%. The same multiplier applies to a single semester's SGPA if you only need that term's percentage; use your overall CGPA for a final, cumulative figure.

VIT grading system (FFCS)
VIT uses letter grades — S through F, plus N for debarment — instead of the O/A+/A style used at many other universities. E is the minimum grade needed to pass a course; F and N both count as a fail and require re-registering the course.

VIT primarily uses relative grading (based on class average and standard deviation) for larger theory classes, and absolute grading with fixed marks bands for smaller classes and lab/project courses.
