The formula
Mumbai University does not use a flat ×10 multiplier. Arts, Science, Commerce and Management courses on the CBCS 10-point scale use Percentage = (CGPA × 7.1) + 11. So a CGPA of 8.0 becomes (8.0 × 7.1) + 11 = 67.8%. Engineering (Faculty of Technology) uses a two-part CGPI formula instead, with the multiplier changing once CGPI crosses 7.
